Privacy Policy

Noctara is a sleep and recovery wellness app from Howeth Studio. This policy explains what information Noctara handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information handled on your device
With your permission, Noctara reads supported data from Apple Health: Sleep Analysis, Resting Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability, and Respiratory Rate. Noctara uses this information to calculate sleep summaries, trends, recovery estimates, and energy forecasts. You can change Health access at any time in iOS Settings.
Raw HealthKit records and detailed sleep-stage event timelines remain on your device. Noctara does not write corrections back to Apple Health.
Information sent to Noctara's service
If you sign in with Apple to use a Noctara account, Noctara may send and store:
- Your email address, Sign in with Apple identifier, and account preferences.
- Derived daily summaries, including sleep and wake times, sleep duration and stage totals, wellness scores, optional recovery measurements, data quality, and source metadata.
- Weekly analytics and generated weekly reports.
Noctara does not upload raw continuous HealthKit samples or detailed sleep-stage event timelines.
Purchases and subscriptions
Noctara version 0.1.0 is an open-access release. Every feature in this version is available without a purchase or subscription, and this version does not offer purchases, process App Store transactions, or send purchase data to RevenueCat. Store-managed purchase features remain a separate future-release option. This policy will be updated before such a release collects purchase or subscription information.
Service providers
Apple processes Sign in with Apple. Railway hosts Noctara's API and database. The RevenueCat purchase integration is not configured or used by version 0.1.0. If a future store-managed release activates purchases or RevenueCat processing, this policy will be updated before that release. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
How information is used
Noctara uses information to operate accounts, restore history, calculate and display insights, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and respond to support requests. Noctara does not sell personal information, use Health data for advertising, or share Health data with advertising platforms or data brokers.
Retention and deletion
Account information and synchronized summaries remain stored while your account is active. You can delete your account in Noctara under You → Account. Deletion removes your Noctara account data. This version has no Noctara purchase or subscription to cancel. Any future store-managed release will explain its purchase and subscription deletion and cancellation behavior in an updated policy.
Security
Noctara uses HTTPS in transit, access controls, short-lived access tokens, and protected credential storage. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Noctara is not directed to children under 13, and Howeth Studio does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Wellness information
Noctara provides wellness estimates. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified medical professional about health concerns.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as Noctara changes. Material updates will be reflected here with a new effective date. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to howethstudio@gmail.com.
